Blaine Udell is AFGO’s & Berdell Industries’s co-founder and managing partner. He oversees day-to-day operations, manages client relationships, and works hands-on with the company’s valued customers. Blaine graduated from the University of Maryland’s School of Business in 1984.
Blaine Udell and his brother, Glenn, are the driving forces now behind AFGO, the New York Metro region’s premier HVAC organization. The Udell family has been in business since their grandfather started in 1928. After their father, Harvey, retired in the 1980’s, Glenn and Blaine took over the family business, Berdell Industries and continued manufacturing heat transfer equipment. In 1995, they formed AFGO Mechanical Services, Inc.—and expanded the company, growing it from a handful of trucks to a fleet of over forty fully inventoried vehicles. At the same time, the Udell brothers successfully established full HVAC service & installation departments, offering twenty-four hour emergency service and maintenance to their clients.
Today, Blaine Udell is a prominent leader of the HVAC industry within the the New York Metropolitan area. He helped to build AFGO’s strong client-base, which includes major New York City hospitals and hotels, commercial and residential high-rise buildings, and retail establishments.
Blaine is also an active member of: The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), The Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA), International Facility Managers Association (IFMA), Building Owners and Management Association (BOMA) and Profession Retail Store Maintenance (PRSM).
