Glenn Udell is AFGO’s & Berdell Industries’ co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He manages the company’s finances and administrative operations. He is a graduate of Hofstra University.
Glenn Udell always knew that he wanted to run the family business, Berdell Industries, and follow in the footsteps of his father and his grandfather. In 1985, after his father’s retirement, Glenn took over the family business, expanding Berdell into a larger organization. Glenn’s younger brother, Blaine, partnered with him in 1987, and together they continued manufacturing heat transfer equipment. In the same year, the Udell brothers established their presence in the heat transfer industry with 100 new employees and over 80 nation wide representatives, selling their equipment.
Finally, in 1995, with business flourishing, Glenn and Blaine founded AFGO Mechanical Services Inc., beginning to install Berdell’s equipment. At the same time they successfully formed a full HVAC service department offering around-the-clock service, maintenance, and installations to their clients.
Today, Glenn Udell is the proud Chairman of AFGO; a company that thrives as one of the leading HVAC contractors within the New York Metropolitan Area. Glenn is an active member of: The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), The Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA), International Facility Managers Association (IFMA), Building Owners and Management Association (BOMA) and Profession Retail Store Maintenance (PRSM).
